Kira and Zero arrive in Ecruteak City and run into Silver, who challenges Kira to a battle. Silver brings them to the burned Brass Tower - the site of the revival of the three legendary beasts - as the location of their battle. (My catch here was a Koffing I didn't end up using.) Kira easily defeats Silver, but before they turn to leave, Silver calls out Mewtwo's name. Mewtwo appears in front of Kira and Zero and pushes them through the floor to the basement level. Just as he is about to attack, the three legendary beasts come to defend them. Mewtwo flees, realizing that fighting these three legendaries will take too much of a toll on his power.
Kira asks Silver why he would side with Mewtwo. Silver simply leaves without saying a word. A flashback shows Lance approaching Silver (who is shocked to see the champion). He offers Silver a deal (toying with his insecurities about strength and his losses to Kira) - he will give Silver power such that none can defeat him, and a team to accommodate this power. Silver asks him, "In exchange for what?", at which point Lance transforms into Mewtwo and says, "You will help me attain immortality." Silver is taken aback by this, but after Mewtwo reawakens memories of his abusive father, Silver accepts the deal.
Cutting to Kira and Zero again, Kris arrives at Brass Tower and helps the two of them out of the broken-down site. Kira explains to Kris what happened and wonders out loud why Mewtwo would decide to attack them now. Zero says, "It's because he's figured out who I am. It's time you learned the truth - the truth about Mewtwo, and the truth about me. Your pokemon may want to hear this as well." Kira and Kris release their pokemon and wait intently for Zero to speak. Kira says he has a feeling he already knows who Zero is. Zero starts by pulling back his hood and revealing his identity...
Ohohoho aint I a stinker, leaving you guys on a cliffhanger like that? :V
Those of you who went to my stream will notice that I took Kris out. I just didn't think she fit in the piece, plus I suppose it makes more sense for her to come by afterwards and be there to help them get out.
You'll also notice there's a print of this available
if any of you feel like giving me your money
